In this publication I present to you the edition of Joan Hinds on the creation of clothes of different eras for dolls growing 46 cm / 18 “” Heritage Doll Clothes: Sew 20 American Outfits for Your 18-Inch Dolls. ” The book is 160 pages long. Paper chalked, beautiful photos that give a good idea of the details of the costumes. My first impression of viewing a paper version of the book is admiration and the desire to release a book about doll clothes with the same beautiful illustrations.
The author presents 20 historical costumes for dolls, including accessories for clothing, dating back to 1700 and ending with a 1940 dress. General instructions for sewing operations. A few chapters about different details of underwear (lower dress and skirts, “crinoline”, pantaloons), understandable, painted sewing instructions for each model.
The book is accompanied by a CD with pdf-files, where you will find patterns for each model.

I suggest you look at the illustrations of the models, and then discuss them. Such suits you can sew, guided by instructions from the book.
Judging by the photo, this clothes suits dolls of different companies. For example, Gotz with a hard body, Our Generation Dolls, Springfield 18 Inch Doll, American Girl Doll.
In my opinion, the clothes on the dolls are loose, baggy. I would like clothes to be more like a doll figure. May the author forgive me for such an opinion! I think that it will be necessary to slightly adjust the patterns for the figures of the dolls for which you will sew.

I bought the book through the site www.amazon.com. On the website of the store you can see several illustrations, which gave me an idea that this book is needed.
By the way, Joan Hinds has seventeen books on making clothes for dolls. One of them has already been translated into Russian.
